GT Classic

THE SPIRIT OF THE GT CLASSIC TROPHY

It is now possible for GT cars from the 80's and 90's to compete in real races in meetings dedicated to history.

The GT Classic Trophy is a multi-brand trophy with Porsche, Ferrari, Viper, Venturi, Vertigo, TVR, Lamborghini, Lotus, Alpine, Corvette, and many other cars.

ELIGIBLE CARS

- GT spirit cars, competition or series cars, branded cup cars whose basic model was released before 31/12/2000.

- Group 4 and Group 5 all periods until 31/12/2000.

- Specifically designated in the list of eligible cars.

More than 140 models are eligible: Alpine, Porsche, Venturi, Camaro, Viper, BMW, Corvette, Toyota, Ferrari, Maserati, TVR, Honda, Marcos, TVR, Mustang, etc...

The promoter reserves the possibility to welcome "guest" competitors out of the ranking with cars close to the eligible cars, in the GTC X class such as the Porsche 996 Cup or the Ferrari F430 Challenge for example.

CARS DIVIDED INTO 5 CLASSES

The Trophy has 5 classes:

GTC 1 - GTC 2 - GTC 3 - GTC 4 - GTC X (guest cars).

The distribution of the cars in the different classes is made according to the performances of the cars and at the initiative of the Promoter.

Attention: since 2021, the weight/power ratio of each car is made according to the table below: 

Weight / Power ratio

 - less than 2,49 : GTC X

 - 2.50 to 3.49 : GTC 1

- 3.50 to 4.49 : GTC 2

- 4.50 to 4.99 : GTC 3

 - More than 5.0 : GTC 4

EVENT FORMATS 

1 private practice session included in the entry fee.

1 qualifying practice session of 20 minutes.

2 races of max 25 minutes - (possibility of 2 drivers per car - 1 race each).

CLASSIFICATIONS & CHAMPIONSHIP

It will be established :

- A classification by class

- A classification regrouping all the drivers of the different categories according to their number of points acquired in each class.

The points for the Trophy are attributed to the class, a title of GT Classic Champion will be awarded in addition to the titles of Winner of each class.

Drivers holding a valid national or international license issued by the FFSA or by a foreign ASN (countries assimilated by the FIA) will automatically be entered in the French Historic Circuits Championship and score for the title (except for GTCX whose base model is later than 31/12/2000), such as Benoit Romac (2018 Champion), Laurent Sabatier (2020 Champion) and Sébastien Mathieu (2021 Champion)

SPONSORSHIP

A driver (the sponsor) can sponsor a new driver (the godchild) to participate in one or several races of the GT Classic Trophy (the godchild being a driver who has never driven in the Trophy since its existence).

At the time of the godchild's first registration in an event, he will not have to pay the special fee of 240 € in addition to the cost of the registration (cf. art. 3.2.3), and the sponsor will benefit from a 20% discount on the amount of the registration of the event in which the godchild participates.

For each participation of the godchild in an event during the same season, the sponsor will benefit from a 20% discount on the amount of the entry fee of the event in which the godchild participates
