HVM Racing: organiser of motor races for historic vehicles

Maxi 2L Classic

THE SPIRIT OF THE MAXI 2L CLASSIC

After many exchanges with the drivers wishing to see the evolution of the grids covering the 60's and 70's periods, we propose, for the 2023 season, a new distribution of these vehicles. It is a question of restoring competitiveness on the track by grouping the cars not by period but according to their performances.

ELIGIBLE CARS

The Maxi 2L Classic Trophy is open to cars with less than 200 hp:

- Berlines and GT of less than 2 liters between 1300cc and 2000 cc homologated until 31/12/1980*

- All group 1 cars homologated until 31/12/1982

- Small sportcars with front engine less than 2L

PTH required, possibility to accept cars in the process of applying for PTH or conforming in all respects to appendix K and to the original homologation form.

Attention: Cars over 2L or 200 hp will be included in the Racing Over 2L trophy.

FORMAT EVENTS

The standard format of the races includes 3 runs:

1 qualifying practice session of 20 min.

2 races of 25 min.

Possibility to share the car with two drivers.

The grid will be shared with the Maxi 1300 trophy.

CLASSIFICATION & CHAMPIONSHIP

The Trophy has 4 classes:

Pre 66 :

- From 1300 to 1600 cc

- From 1600 to 1999 cc

Post 66 :

- From 1300 to 1600 cc

- From 1600 to 1999 cc

These grids will count for the FFSA Historic French Championship of GT/Touring Circuits Pre 90.

At the end of each race, the first 3 of each class will be called on the podium for a cup ceremony in the paddock.

The drivers holding a valid national or international license issued by the FFSA or by a foreign ASN (countries assimilated by the FIA) will automatically be registered in the French Historic Circuits Championship and will score for the title.

In the case where the same car would be driven by several drivers, one in a race, the other in another distinct race, each driver would score only the points acquired by his personal result.
