THE SPIRIT OF RACING OVER 2L
After many exchanges with the drivers wishing to see the evolution of the grids covering the periods of the 60s and 70s, we propose, for the 2023 season, a new distribution of these vehicles. It is a question of restoring competitiveness on the track by grouping the cars not by period but according to their performances.
ELIGIBLE CARS
The Racing Over 2L Trophy is open to cars with 200 hp or more:
- Berlines and GT of more than 2 liters homologated until 31/12/1980
- Cars of 200 hp (ex: Escort Ford Cosworth BDG) even if less than 2L
PTH required, possibility of accepting cars in the process of applying for PTH or conforming in all respects to Appendix K and the original homologation form.
EVENT FORMATS
The standard race format consists of 3 runs:
1 qualifying practice session of 25 min.
2 races of 25 min.
Possibility to share the car with two drivers.
Separate grid
CLASSIFICATION & CHAMPIONSHIP
The Trophy has 4 classes:
Pre 66 :
- Less than 3L
- More than 3L
Post 66 :
- Less than 3L
- More than 3L
These grids will count for the FFSA Historic French Championship of GT/Touring Circuits Pre 90.
Drivers holding a valid national or international license issued by the FFSA or by a foreign ASN (countries assimilated by the FIA) will automatically be entered in the French Historic Championship of Circuits and score for the title.
In case the same car would be driven by several drivers, one in a race, the other in another distinct race, each driver would score only the points acquired by his personal result.
The cars of this Trophy can also participate in the 200 Km race organized on most of the Historic Tour.
