Historic Tour Dijon | Film of the weekend

On this first weekend of April, the Dijon-Prenois circuit, as usual, hosted the first round of the French Historic Circuit Championship. The weekend featured 24 races in 12 separate grids, including two foreign guest grids: the Westfield Cup and the Ferrari Club Deutschland. In all, almost 300 drivers at the wheel of 280 cars battled it out in June sunshine on the Burgundy track.
In six weeks' time, the second round of the French Historic Circuit Championship will take place at Lédenon on 16, 17 and 18 May.

FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
After an opening round in June-like weather conditions, the drivers went head-to-head in their respective double-headers (with the exception of the 200km) and fought their first battles in the race for the French Championship.
In the Single-Seater/Protos category, three men achieved a clear round this weekend: François Belle (Formula Ford Historic), Pierre Boite (Formula Renault Historic & Classic) and Louis Kolly (Proto Classic). They share first place in the standings with 80 points each.
In the Pre-90 GT/Tourism category, three drivers scored a double and jointly lead the standings: Philippe Gandini (Maxi 1300 Series), Laurent Hofmann (Maxi 2L Classic) and Olivier Dusailly (Racing Over 2L).
In the post-90s GT/Tourism category, Patrick Delannoy is alone in the lead with 75 points, thanks to a second place in race 1 and a victory in race 2 in GT Classic. He is ahead of three runners-up with 70 points each: Yannick Blanc (Roadster Pro Cup), winner in Race 1 and third the following day; Julien Nougaret (Roadster Pro Cup), twice second; and Gaël Grandpierre, third in Race 1 and winner in Race 2 in the Youngtimers GTi Cup.
Finally, in the Historic Endurance category, the traditional 200km Historic Tour race saw Jean-Pierre Destombes win at the wheel of his Peugeot 905 Spider. He beat the Christian Danne/Julien Grenet duo and Jean-Michel Guermonprez.
